Engine Dynamometer Accessories
Air Starting Systems
Phoenix Dynamometer offers high-quality optional air starter and flywheel kits in both single and dual, 35 & 80 HP versions. These kits allow you the flexibility to test engines without having an engine mounted starting system.
Air Storage Tanks

Automatic Day Tanks
Automatic Day Tanks are any tanks that maintain a supply of fuel through the use of a locally mounted pump, motor, and internal float switches. The basic Automatic Day Tank comes furnished with a pump, motor, "press to test" switch, and a "pump running" light. This system allows the tank to automatically pump fuel, from the main storage tank, into the Day Tank.
Cooling columns are an essential part of completing your engine dynamometer test cell. Our units are state-of-the-art, cost-efficient, heavy-duty, and come with an outstanding warranty that is second to none.
A cooling column replaces the radiator and fan system that is normally tasked with regulating engine temperature. The cooling column is designed to completely replicate the normal engine cooling process with the added benefits of features such as adjustable temperature (160°F – 230°F / 71°C – 110°C), easy to read gauges, mobile options, and the flexibility to test a wide range of engines with one unit.

Torsionally Resilient Couplings
The torsionally resilient coupling is a non-lubricated flexible coupling designed to transmit torque by compressing rubber or urethane elements. It provides torsional damping to reduce torsional vibration and to cushion shock loads. It is easy to assemble and replace resilient blocks and is able to operate in rough and gritty environments. Its fail-safe design involves interlocking elements. Explore your options to see the different models available.
